I agree, I had the same experience recently.
I found that there is a mapper relative setting for this, i. e.
set map move nodes 0
set map move nodes 1
where the value 0 stops moving duplicate nodes and the value 1 turns it
on.
Type these two lines into your Mapbasic window and activate the one
needed.
But I am using MI Pro v5.5 here, maybe this does not work in your
version?
For the same reason, I cannot provide you with a button pad since I have
no v4 MB compilator.
Maybe you should consider an upgrade? Much has happened in the last
versions.
