We are using the mapInfo timer which we
downloaded from www.directionsmag.com .
When timer has updated arround 2000 times, the
mapInfo application becomes inactive and the timer
shows "Inactive" in the status window.
We are trying to integrate it with an application that
has to run 24 hs , so 2000 updates are easyly reached
Does anyone have an idea on how this could be solved.
If
not:
could anybody advise us on the development of a
vbasic
timer that communicates through dde with mapinfo?
We designed our own in vb and experienced the
following problems:
- When we execute a DDeExecute command in mapinfo
sometimes the mapinfo shows the "Process Failed in
Another Application" error. Then we use an onerror
command to trap the error but then the timer stops
updating.
Well, if you know how to make a good vb timer and
mapbasic app to simulate a timer or if you have a
timer that can solve our problem i would be very
gratefull.
