Thank you very much! Whereever the documentation is maintained in future, it would be great to have a clear mark at each technical document wo ehich version of mapnik it does apply.

I'd suggest
 - either adding a [this applies to version .. throughout version ..]
   marker to each page
 - or build a versionized structure

In such a young project like mapnik, changed that break compatibility, will come in the newr future and the docs need to be able to handle this.
