I have to stop for today, so far I have recovered the overview links on the start page, added a note on top and cleaned up may pages in terms of wiki-syntax and (external & internal) links. Couldn't do any serious updating of the content yet, but I've removed info that was blatantly outdated on the go. Maybe others could join in and go through the first level of pages linked from https://github.com/mapnik/mapnik/wiki and update / structure / clean up the info? I'll continue my efforts tomorrow. > Consider forking (https://github.com/mapnik/mapnik/wiki/_access) I haven't forked the Wiki because I figured out the many small changes (and link changes) are better reviewed online, and other may want to join the effort. Hope this is OK for you. Another question is the API docs where I never found it quite optimal to manually keep a wiki in sync with the evolving codebase. On the other hand it's probably not trivial to auto-generate good documentation for C++ & Python & XML simultaneously - any thoughts on this?
