Maptitude - http://research.umbc.edu/~roswell/maptitude.html
i open maps on layouts and change them all the time without getting this
error. usually i double click on a map, change the location, add a new
layer, and then make a number of thematics from it.
the error i get most often happens when i try to print. i get a error
message, similar to the one you report. what i have found that is most
interesting is the dialog is non-modal. you don't have to click "ok". you
can ignore the dialog and click on maptitude and continue working.
eventually maptitude will disapear with no dialog and dr. watson will come
up.
