Hi Everyone,
Caliper has put great efforts into tracking down memory problems
and eliminating them. As a rule of thumb, later versions of the
software are more robust than earlier ones. Of the messages I have
seen here, no one mentioned the version of the software that they
were using.
We have also sometimes found that system drivers are the cause of
illegal memory references. Since Maptitude is an extensive
graphics package, other programs may not encounter the same
problems. Some problems have been fixed by downloading a new
printer driver or a new graphics driver from the hardware vendor.
If you come across an illegal memory reference that you can
reproduce, please let us know about it. These errors get a
priority handling and the goal is to have them eliminated in the
following version.
