Actually you can create a selection set in your Dataview "Select by
Condition" and then use "Fill method by single value" to change your value.

Subject: [Maptitude] Maptitude (Wish List)

Maptitude - http://research.umbc.edu/~roswell/maptitude.html

For Maptitude Program Development Team:
My request seems pretty basic compared to all the features defined by
other hi-powered MT users....
I'm using v. 4.12 now (in case my "wish" has been addressed in v. 4.2)

Within the Dataview window, I'd like to have a "find and replace"
feature, similar to capability in Access and Excel for searching a
highlighted column and substituting a user-defined character string for
the character string in a "find" parameter.

Of course, this could be accomplished by saving the dataview in .dbf or
.wks format, opening in Access or Excel, editing and reading the updated
table back into MT..but that's such a pain!

Thanks for the opportunity to offer ideas for program improvement.
