-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I think what you're seeing is that some genes appear twice in the results, once with the Refseq ID and once without it. This is because the Refseq ID is a transcript-level annotation, and so you are seeing results per transcript, but without the transcript ID they appear to be duplicate but with parts missing. If you turn on the Ensembl transcript ID attribute you'll see what I mean.
Your first example, ENSG00000127580, is exactly like that. In the cases where you say they are missing, I think you'll find that if you search the results you'll find that there is another record elsewhere in the file which has the Refseq ID present. cheers, Richard Jiyuan An wrote: > Thanks > I did like you said, but inconsistent happened about refSeqDNA id. > For example I can get ENSG00000127580's refseqDNA id from ensembl search > page, > But when I use biomart to download whole human genes, the this gene's > refseqDNA is empty. > > I list several other inconsistent below: > > ENSG00000127580 NM_032259 > ENSG00000152520 NM_175854 > ENSG00000145348 NM_033115 > ENSG00000157107 NM_138782 > ENSG00000143493 > ENSG00000138303 > ENSG00000142279 > ENSG00000204181 > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Richard Holland [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Monday, 19 February 2007 10:51 PM > To: Jiyuan An > Cc: BioMart > Subject: Re: [mart-dev] ensembl gene id and RefSeq DNA id > > Simply turn on the Ensembl Gene ID (Ensembl attributes) and Refseq DNA > ID (External References max 3) attributes (Gene part of the Features > attribute page).
