Why do you think this was an "error" on their part? An error in relation to
what? If I want to go to the North Pole, and sail north, and you tell me that
this is an "error", because the way to the South Pole is in the other
direction?
I do not want to go to the South Pole! So why should it be an error to turn in
the direction which I want to go?
