Ours is still the era of imperialism and the proletarian revolution. Readers will note that nothing was put forward about our own time being the time of V.I Lenin or anything like it. That is entirely WL's (mis)reading. Even before the victory of the Bolshevik Revolution, Lenin outlined the essential character of the era in which we are still living and fighting as "imperialism and the proletarian revolution." He was referring to the fact that the two great classes unfolding each of these processes would carry out this struggle to the death. Reply Actually I did not misread what was written. I disagreed with the above characterization of this era. This era - since 1993, has been characterized and articulated as "Entering an epoch of Social Revolution" based on revolution in the means of production. This means defining this era - 2011, as "imperialism and proletarian revolution" is rejected. Happy New Years.
