On one hand, "The PRC leadership seems more content to wait for Taiwanese
support for unification to steadily increase." So it is only "PRC's military
maneuvering around Taiwan" because of U.S. pushing. This is upside down. The
PRC has steadily increased its undeclared military acts against Taiwan, Japan,
and the Philippines. It has increased its naval and air power faster than the
U.S. for about ten years now.

And one big prize, the Taiwan semiconductor manufacturing complex centered
around TSMC, is more important than ever to capitalists vying to grab the
profits of technological dominance.

M.G. supports the "right of the Taiwanese people to reject forcible
integration." How that must cheer them! Rights have nothing to do with
contention between monopoly capitalist powers.
