A brief reply to some contributions on this issue.
First, as an aside, we are the RCIT (which exists since 2011) – not Alan
Woods’ IMT which renamed itself into RCI last year.
Second, and more importantly, the national question of Taiwan is a
complex issue. Yes, Taiwan was part of China before Japan conquered it
in 1895. But it was not a historic Chinese territory but was conquered
by the Qing Empire in the late 17^th century and there were two large
uprisings by the Taiwanese against China’s occupation (in 1786–1788 and
in 1862-64).
For that reason, the Communist Party of China in the 1920s and 1930s
consistently supported the right of the national self-determination of
the Taiwanese people – until chauvinism of the Mao-Stalin school
annihilated the last internationalist features of the party.
However, today, in face of the accelerating inter-imperialist rivalry
between the U.S. (and its Japanese ally) and China, the Taiwanese
national question tends to become subordinated to this conflict.

I've heard of state capitalist, but "Stalino-capitalist" is a new
category for me.
The island of Taiwan is part of the Republic of China. Has been since
before Japan invaded and before the U S Navy parked its seventh fleet
between the island and the mainland.
