Much ado about nothing. Had the omission been pointed out, I very much doubt Eric Blanc would have balked at amending his piece in line with Tillow’s view that while MLK was neither a communist nor a Marxist, he was quite understanding of why Du Bois and others would chose to join the CPUSA which was centrally involved in the fight against racial discrimination. Perhaps someone could check with Eric to confirm. It ’ s nonsense to say that this oversight reflected his and the DSA’s purported “anti-communism”.
