That is quite correct in some ways. However the real logic that drive all of these people/capitalists are the objective truths they have to wrestle with in order to squeeze out their *maximum* profit. That is their sole dynamic and their sole criterion. Biden and the DP were not being aggressive enough against their real competitors, namely China and the EU. Hence their need to be in close tandem with the USA ruling representatives - here Trump and his aggressive team - who are fighting the EU and China restrictions on their ability to squeeze out the last dollar. The objective reality drives them to this. Not simply opportunism. They part funded him. As did more quietly the Kochs and all that. Just as at the turn of the 19th-20th century, Lenin pointed to the integration of banking with industry and then the development of *big* blocks of forms exercising monopoly - today we are seeing an early integration of new technical forms. This is exacerbating the already “over-ripe” situation of the decaying capitalism. Personally I do not think that - the generic ‘we’ - have taken on board the enormous changes taking place as represented by the tech companies. Yes - a lot of hype around. But… the changes are already considerable from what i understand. And they are accelerating the tendency to inter-imperial war. The USA - and the UK and most of Europe - are all re-tooling. That entails fascist forms of state. Exactly what their final form will take is yet to be seen of course. Virtually every country I know of in all these states has a pretty common pathway at the moment. This is most focused upon: i) Accommodating the far right-openly fascist elements (In the UK Starmer and his crew accommodate to “Tommy Robinson" or Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon allied to Nigel Farage; in Germany Merz & Klingbeil accommodate in several ways to the open fascists and the still-within-the-fence AfD etc etc). ii) Slash further to the bone all social nets/health/housing etc; to favour massive arms and armed forces development; iii) Invest further in high tech to keep up with the likes of Apple, Alphabet (Google), Meta (Facebook), Amazon, Microsoft) and Nvidia; and now all the AI others. iv) Promote pro-war provocations. None of this is driven by anything other than the intense competition that reaches to fever proportions to the point that the capitalists simply *have to do this* to continue to be capitalists. Sorry for the length. Trying to give the sense of the drive to completely re-structure. It goes beyond any mere opportunism or ideology.
