That is what I suspected.

It is designed to go straight into the card, the hub U use now has a special


Uplink port that's already crossed over so I don't have ot use one now either.

I am :)  I put the logon connamd in the rc.local script.  Making you logon is



there way of making sure you only use one IP.  And for security.  Your IP will

not go through their firewall unless you authenticate yourself.  And your


account is only good for one IP at a time.  Luckily, and happily, I get the


same IP every time I log on via DHCP.  Still I need both machines working.  I



think my project for this week will be to install the second NIC.
