Hi,
Being a collector of early(er) macs, (eg: Colour Classic, SE) I have a large network going.
I was reading on the internet about Mac Plus web servers and I want to do the same, I don't have a Mac Plus I intend to use the Colour Classic as it has Ethernet.
BUT... I have no idea how....ok, well I have a vague idea.
That part is easy, but the hard part is if you ever expect anyone to connect to your web server, you need a fixed IP address that they can reference. The D in DHCP is for dynamic, ie not fixed, so what you have to do is each time the DHCP server from your ISP changes your IP address, ie you login to the ISP, you will need to update a forwarding link from some Internet site that offers fixed IP addresses and forwarding. They are out on the net, and mostly free, but I don't know the details or names.
