I am using Internet Connection Sharing on my iMac 17" Super (10.2.6)...can i set that to assign port numbers?

If it already does then how do I find out what those port numbers are and what computer they are assigned to?

So if I wanted to surf into the Colour Classic i would enter into my address box for example: 81.132.54.122:8080?

1. all computers can have web servers active with different port numbers.

2. a firewall/NAT box (computer or router/switch box) will route port numbers to certain computers. i.e. port 80 goes to 192.168.1.2

3. if the router has to plug into a computer and not a switch then run router software on that computer IPNetRouterX, or ipfw built-in.

4. each webserrver can be on a diff port: 80, 8000, 8080, etc

5. good luck

I would also like to know, if what I am thinking is right, can I set up
all my ethernet macs up as web servers and have them all on different
port numbers? - Different house numbers.

Does that make any sense to anyone?
