Old-World NuBus 6100/66MHz PowerMac (72MB RAM, 9.1GB HD, Sonnet G3 upgrade
card), but I'm still doubtful about some aspects of recent Linux distros

I would research if your upgrade card is supported, it may not be.
You may also need to patch the kernel for NuBus support, I don't think support for those machines is built in to any distro.

I tried YDL 2.x on a 8100/110 with 128 MB of RAM.
I am used to older systems, but I couldn't really stand to use it with the GUI, and it was really slow to compile stuff.


You might want to try NetBSD, it is a little more lightweight.
(watch for comments from the NetBSD Secret Service)
