That is what PDF is for. A PDF prints the same from all platforms on
nearly all printers.
If consistent printing results is important, PDF beats Word format
hands down.
It doesn't matter what software created the PDF, and Reader is free.
To head off a comment, we use PDF because it is _not_ easily editable.
Most documents that are exchanged in an editable format do not need to
be edited on the receiving end.
I agree. pdf is the way to go. When someone sends a word or excel file
to me and others, I offer to convert to pdf and then send that out.
