Putting YDL 3.0 and/or BeOS on a 9600/200MP would be an interesting project, methinks.
Do some Googling for "SMP Linux PPC"
<http://www.jonh.net/lppcfom-serve/cache/547.html>
<http://ozlabs.org/pipermail/linuxppc-dev/1999-March/001282.html>
Check "Multiple Processors" at
<http://ftp.penguinppc.org/users/eb/debian/dists/stable/main/disks- powerpc/current/doc/ch-hardware-req.en.html>
Most of the information I have found is old, or is specific to New World and/or G5 Macs.
YDL has dropped support for Old World machines in 4.0, so a lot of info about Old World machines is no longer accessible.
