I forgot I also have a 68040 accelerator I was planning to put in my SE/30.  If 
I can locate the right riser, I could try that in lieu of the 68882.  I think 
most of those risers had a 68882 socket, so it would be easy to try that route 
too.

That makes sense.  Ever heard of A/UX booting on a 68882-upgraded LC III?  This 
would still be my preferred route, since I'd like to use the 68040 card in the 
SE/30 someday.
