We're trying to do some tests on a new Itanium-2 box, specifically we try to
compare performance between Linux_64 and HP-UX. We want to use a copy of our
production system to do some tests.
Source: Linux_32/MaxDB 7.5.0
Target: Linux_64/MaxDB 7.5.0 works perfect
Target: HP-UX/MaxDB 7.5.0 does not work
So is the endianess operating system dependent? What I don't get is that on
the same box Linux_64 works but HP-UX does not.
Could someone please clarify?
