Ithink that is more liekly an ISP issue.

This happens to me if ever Iget a crash beofre downloading has
finished. The pointers seem to be only updated at thew end of
downloading. It could be that the same problem occurs if connection is
broken by ISP or line noise.

I really don't believe it is MD-II causing the problem. Have you a 56k
modem? Try choking it back to 33.6 and see if it still happens. Also,
if you have a 56k modem, try disconnecting all other phones, fax, etc while you
download
