I'm sorry to say this, because it is rather MS'ish, but I have had to
reinstall MDII several times to get it working again, and mine is the
registered version.  Save out your addressbook and prefs file, and your
database direcory (put them in another directory and then back in after
reinstall), and you should be ok.  I am not discounting problems with
your ISP, but to rule out MDII, you will probably have to resort to it,
and register is soon, it works much better once registered in my
experience.
