You overlooked the obvious, but don't feel bad, while I thought of
desuscribing and the 100, I too didn't think of the headers, as I just
download the headers, delete what I'm not interested in, and then download
the rest for offline reading. I haven't downloaded everything since that
option became availabel back in 1.1 or 1.2 or whatever.
