Ah well, that must be where my problem lies. Mine is 80352 bytes with
no version string. I was sure I had got it from slrn (Dec 1999) as you recommended.

I've tried some others from Aminet, and still no go

It's now going through all the motions, but giving no result. It does
open the first message. Using ts and tco and stepping it through shows
no errors.
