Subjective (but all headphone responses are) recommendation from me would be
the Sony MDR-E848 earbuds (or their recent equivalents). I miss my old
MDR-E565's, they had the best bass and just overall flat response, and they
were the next step down from the top of the range (which really didn't sound
significantly different to me).

I know that this is probably an old thread, or at least one that has
been asked repeatedly, but can anyone recommend a good set of
headphones for use with a portable MD unit? The ones I have with my
Sharp MD-MT821 are ok, but they iritate my ears after a while. Any
