I've had the same problem with my stack. Other than covering the receptor
of the machine you want to ignore the signal or putting the remote right up
against the receptor of the machine you want to honor the signal, about the
only thing I've found that works is to place a protruding barrier between the
machines, like partitions between desks in a testing room or between voting
booths, and to try to aim the signal to get and stay on one side of the
barrier.
