> Copy-Protected CDs a Nightmare for BMG Germany
> http://www.stereophile.com/shownews.cgi?671

Extract from "HackersClub News" Feb 2000:

"Following the release of copy protected CD's from recording industry
giant BMG, a regular German reader of HackersClub News informs us that
although the CD he purchased refused to play in his car stereo and his
portablle CD player, he was able to duplicate the CD perfectly by putting it
in his CD-ROM drive and using the CD-Copy function in Nero Burning ROM. He
was also able to rip the data from the CD to his hard drive without error,
and burn a new audio CD from it which played flawlessly in his portable unit
and in the car."

Yet more evidence that copy protection is a complete waste of time
then.......
