I do not know if this will influence your decision or not but I bought a
Kenwood KMD-42 player and was disappointed with the radio reception. I just
figured it was the antenna in the car that was bad, but had the same problem
when I put the unit in my new car. The new car had no static on a majority
of the stations with the factory radio that I now notice.
