I disagree. The need of native apps will never go away. Tell me how an HTML5 app will interface to a camera or gps device, for instance. Tell me how it will do crypto certificates (in Javascript?). Java also won't go away. The OS I want is one that can leverage all existing apps, Java ME, native linux, or yes, even HTML5, but does not engage in religious evangelism of one API over another.
