Yeah... this one is kind of a bikeshed. I disabled open-in-new-window
in the trunk -- I have to agree it's confusing that some things still
open in the same window. I think this is the shortest path to
consistency for now and fairest since there is no "Don't open in new
tab/window" (that I know of). I think the annoyance of navigating
away (accidentally or otherwise) should eventually be solved by making
things considerably faster :)

The more than average user (Melkjug) tend to do it after the first
couple of times of making the mistake of just clicking and assuming
they are not going to loose their data that they started off at.
We might want to implement one way and evaluate after it launches.
But going back to Chris and Randal's we need to watch out for
consistency as well as loss of data (settings) etc. when the page
reloads.

If I'm playing with filters to fine-tune my jug (or just tinker
with various results), and I click through to a linked site, I
don't lose the adjustments to those filters when I click the
back button - at least, based on my test just now on
dev.melkjug.com my filter change appears to have been preserved.
Unless there are cases where users might lose data by navigating
away, I'd lean towards not opening new windows.
I suppose we could consider that being an account-level
preference - some folks may have very strong feelings on both
sides of the "new window" approach.
