The City of Lynwood is also on a 4/10 schedule--they're closed every Friday. The
Orange County Sanitation District allows 4/10s, but overlaps shifts to remain open
five days per week. The City of Oakland has a "standard" 37.5 hour work week that
evolved years ago through union negotiations for a shorter work week with the same
pay. Oakland has shift options of 7-3:30, 8-4:30, or 8:30-5, depending on the
profession and office requirements.
Good luck to you!
