I'd say so,

I dont know why everyone seems hell bent on reversing the 240K strut. There is no
need to do this so long as you remove a bit of metal from the bottom of the
caliper lower mounting lug, so it clears the steering arm. This allows it to bolt
up tight to the bottom of the strut.

One other thing to consider is that on some cars, (and I'm not sure about the
Datsun), the calipers are designated left and right for reason. They are
engineered for 'roll back', which allows the caliper to release from the disc
properly and not have the pads rub to hard while the brakes are not being
applied.

Something for someone other than me to clarify.
