Hi,
I have a 71' SSS and I worked the SSS head,(sand blasted, ported,
polished, shaved 3mm , and lightened the tapets) i have the BRE/DATSUN book
on "how to modify DATSUN 510,610,240Z engines and chassis" and they worked
the SSS head and reved the bitch up to 9 grand!! yes 9 grand!!(aint trying
it in mine!!) yeah well anyway if you have the SSS head, and the cam why not
think about workin that??? and what are doing with it??historics or
something??? because thats what im am thinking of doing, i have just
purchaced a FIA head and trying to find out a way to run it in historics
(maybe in Nc group "production touring class 1965-72")and i also heard that
in south africa the "510" was brought out with a 1.8L soooo there might be a
way to run a 1.8L in historics rather than a 1.6L
