I reckon everyone to their own....some people want their money
spent on all out performance, others just want to look and sound
good, and then there's others in the middle. there's nothing wrong
with any of these approaches.....you gotta do what makes YOU
happy.
Cameron, from what ive heard the alpine VR series subs were
designed more for freeair type enclosures, although still totally fine
in other enclosure types. if alpine recommend a sealed 17l
enclosure, then this or larger (within reason) will be fine. to my
thinking the 25l sounds ok and wont be as boomy, and should play
lower too. i think the boxes mounted diagonally in the corners of
the boot will look good.......i am planning on doing this with a pair
of ZR 12's.
Daniel, any details on mounting positions of your 3 way set up front
(especially the midrange and tweeters-how are they mounted to
keep away from the pedals??)
thanks
andrew
