Simon,
There's no chance that you'll snap the pulley but use a small block of wood
the protect the V. It's actually better if you can use the bottom of the
timing cover but again use a block if you use a hydraulic jack as the
footprint is a bit small on them - just to spread the load a bit.

it is a 510, i wasn't sure if the pulley was the best place to go,pretty
important part to snap off!!!
