You can identify them by the engine number ending in W. I have easily
found them in 180B, 180BSSS, 720Ute and some possibly import 910. I have
an L18W block from an '81 720 Ute with flywheel for the larger diameter
clutch, still uses 5 bolt and appears to be a light flywheel. Was an
original unopened 244,000kms excellent cond engine, the block appears to
have extra gallery plugs already in place aswell. Externally the blocks
are slightly different with the W I have appearing to be better cast
than the plain L18 I have. There is supposedly a 6 bolt crank version in
the later model 720's but I've yet to see one. The stock cranks are
steel.
