you can make 2 bushes for the a series out of a single "joiner" peice, the
inside diameter is right but you have to mount them on a drill or similar
and "turn" them down. (a lathe would be ideal but i did mine with a bench
grinder that had a polishing wheel spindle on one side that held the piece
while i held a file or sandpaper against it. works reely well, but choose
good quality nylon fittings not some of the cheaper plastic!

The A series gearsticks do have the two bushes and suffer the same fate as
the L series, the 1200 has nylon. I don't know what the size is so my
solution with the hardie pope T piece may not work with these.

Do the A series gearsticks have nylon components? I remember clearly mine
being metal, like soft metal. Maybe someone had changed it or maybe I was
