yep seems not too many of the aussie teams left too much time for tuning 
(understandable though given the huge task it must have been)

swinburne had their car finished pretty early (about a month) but still 
somehow didnt do any tuning/testing due to undisclosed problems.

melbourne finished theirs on the tuesday before the weekend competition - 
wednesday it was back in the workshop with broken axles :) no time on 
engine tuning - they had it running ultra rich all weekend just to get it 
to run at all. 

monash supposedly crashed theirs on the wednesday or thursday before the 
competition in its first run in the university carpark :) stuck throttle 
cable. chassis bent and they werent even expecting to be able to fix it. 
fair effort to even make the competition.
