The CA18 was 1100 but that was sought of mates rates with box but no
intercooler or comp.
Thats dirty about RMIT cause the winner of the Australian cars got invited
to the american event next year which means heaps more exposure and time to
sought out problems. The NSW guys had the entire rear suspension inpieces
around 1 hr before they were due to start the endurance event! I think they
were trying to rectumfy the driveshaft angle causing the car to toe in too
much (thier car had the engine as a cahsis member) but memory a bit hazy
there cause i sampled the Geelong night life the night before:).
We are supposed to have it all soughted by September so we get 2-3 months
practice and redesigning it till we are happy or time beats us to it. Seems
to me to be the major problem the Australians had was no practice so no
trouble shooting and also they didnt know how hard to push it.
Should be a fun year alround and i cant wait to drive it (datsun and FSAE).
