Further to my recent email on registering a 1600 with an L20 I have
discovered from Vicroads that there are no problems with engine size if the
motor in the car is the same as that which was originally fitted by the
factory. I am pretty sure that 1600 were fitted with L18's in later days
but I am not positive. Is this the case?
The funny thing is when I rang up Vicroads to confirm what motors were
originally fitted to the 1600 they said to ring Nissan, therefore my
questions are - when I take the car to Vicroads firstly, how will they know
the engine capacity, and secondly how will they know if that engine was
fitted by the factory (I can't imagine them ringing Nissan)when they tell me
to ring Nissan.
