I can't say that I specifically recall this dealer special but they weren't
uncommon in the 70+ reign of terror. Lennocks did some nice things to GL
models only but mainly things like arm rests, SSS Contessa mags and dashes
(some of them were the real thing with the 4 gauges) and the odd special
with vinyl roof (yuk) but the ladies (not always young ones either) bought
them for some reason, chrome mudflaps were a good seller too and various
other bits, updated radio cassette players (Clarions) and they ran a sports
package for a few months with recaro seats (may have been a (look a like)
which sold very well.

regards
Terry

A "Sebring Special" was a dealer improved 1600. I can't remember exactly
what was added or changed but it was the first time the 1600 was given a
sporty image for marketing in Australia, despite its rally and track
success. It could have been a sports steering wheel, tacho, radial tyres
and a different outside mirror, plus badging? I have a feeling it was made
and sold by a (Sydney?) dealer called Sebring Motors, but dont ask me to bet
on it.
