Black only helps radiation losses, NOT conductive losses which are
by far the biggest contributor. Radiation losses at intercooler temperatures
are not even worth considering.
A coat of paint will reduce conductive efficiency much more than a change of
colour will help radiation efficiency.
Of course paint will stop corrosion, which will also drastically lower
efficiency
(that's why they paint radiators).
The ideal is to black anodise the item, since that does add a layer of
insulation.
Or get funky and do blue, red, purple, green, etc...
