Not exactly the same as the build quality you get used to from Nissan Motors. I think the best motor that Holden ever made was the VL. I heard that to test the assembly of the V6 holden motors they hang them from chains and run them at 5000 rpm and see if it blows up or vibrates, if they pass they send them off. If they fail the disassemble them.

Nah, I doubt it.� They run them off the line, put a bit of fuel in them, start them up, if they go, then they get driven out to the yard and that's about it.� If they don't start, which a lot don't, they put them to the side where they have a team of mechanics there to work out what went wrong.
