As with most manufacturers nowadays, the engineers that design the motors
and their components internally, have designed them so that they need little
or almost no running in. They have almost perfect bearing, piston ring and
other moving component clearances so that everything is pretty much "BED IN"
straight from the factory. After all ... the real reason and idea for
running in motors is so that is there is little discreptancies with bearings
not sitting perfectly, that they are slowly worn in to do so.

I know they build rotaries, but ask PAC Performance about running in motors.
They've never heard of  such a thing, cause they build their motors with
exact clearances. STraight on the DYNO... tuned and ready to race. How long
they last is another story. My Opinion is if you run a motor in.... it's
gonna last you longer regardless of how perfect the workmanship is.
