This is usually acheived by "semi labouring" (NOT pinging) the engine in 3rd gear up a steep incline. This forces the rings against the walls of the cylinder and they take up the shape more quickly. Vary the engine speed  i.e. Dont sit on the same speed for long periods of time. Some rebuilders also suggest "running in" oil and changing it after approx 500Km.
