ahhh... the 70s - what a frightening time to be racing bikes :) Nothing personal, but a single-piston calipered disc pulling up that much weight on shitty little bias-ply tyres scares the crap out of me ! :) Ah well, at least it wasn't drum/drum :) That thing would have made a wicked noise flying by on calder's straight though ! geez - i bet it was a sight to see :) So was this a one-off or do you have a bit of a racing past ?
I'm on a Yamaha TRX850 at the mo - but i'm trying to sell it in order to fund a 1600.. well, i guess i'm not really trying yet.. I've been kidding myself these last few months - I just can't bring myself to get rid of it Ah well.. hopefully i'll make it up there - but odds are I'll be too broke.. we'll see what happens. Best of luck to you up there - You just can't beat being let loose on a track :) jeremy -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of mick ralph Sent: Monday, 28 January 2002 10:44 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Morgan Park Sprints / Bikes Jeremey Thanks for that. Sounds like u guys had a blast. This one should be fun cos some of the racing is held into the night till about 9pm on sat nite (2nd feb heath) and continues the next day. Your description of the circuit is impressive and helpful. I like to know what to expect hehe Whats ur bike? I used to race bikes years ago. In fact in relation to the previous posts about rotary engines, I am probably the only person in the country to have raced Suzuki's RE5. Only once, at Calder. Was rated at 2/3rds swept volume @1000cc so it wasn't really competitive in the unlimitrd class but it handled the 500 class really well. Had the smoothest power delivery. Anyway we can chat about bikes and Dattos at warwick if u get there. Please come up and say hello cheers mick ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Greaves" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, January 28, 2002 10:56 AM Subject: RE: Morgan Park Sprints > Yeah i did it on my bike about a year ago.. not a bad little circuit - maybe > 2kms long ?
