Could be that your thermostat is constantly flowing coolant, thus not letting your engine come up to temp. It could be stuck open. You can remove the thermostat, and test it in hot water to see if it is working. regards Greg

Is it possible to have too much cooling ie not enough heat? My stocky gauge never gets above 1/8 to 1/4 even after caning it unmerilessly in QLD heat. Most of the time on the highway it barely moves off the stop. Would the thermostat be opening and closing more often to keep the temp up? My radiator is huge and 3 core.. Maybe i should cover up a section? Remove the fan blades? Any thoughts? Bit strange to be talking about underheating while i'm sitting here in shorts sweating like a pig but I am concerned that for short sprints i may be "over-radiatored". cheers Mick --membersozdat------------------------------------------------------- OZDAT Mailing List Please Note:- Send (un)subscribe requests to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Send submissions to [EMAIL PROTECTED] No unauthorised redistribution of this email http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/index.htm http://www.ozdat.com/ozdatonline/listindex.html http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ ---------------------------------------------------------------------
