They are testing some 30km/h zones for 7am-5pm weekdays for school zones. It is at 22 schools around Brisbane.

Subject: RE: FW: Speed cameras Info
Ken,
A de-restriction sign is when the speed limit changes downwards eg 110-80;
100-60 etc like in a little village with a pub, two dogs and a copper with a
camera at 2 in the morning. School zones are a big revenue raiser too, but I
don't have a problem with these areas as kids and their mothers do stupid
things around schools. The NRMA is doing a speed survey in school zones at
the moment, should be interesting to see what the results are like; if
they're not good then motorist beware - reactive policing of speed limits.
regards
Terry
